Dashboard overview

The main dashboard page loads when you first enter your CockpitMod account. It presents a card for each active add-on subscription showing the module name, activation date, status (Active / Paused / Expiring), the monthly fee in EUR and the next renewal date. A single click on any card takes you to that module's dedicated configuration and reporting page.

At the top of the dashboard a notification centre highlights any items requiring action: pending API key updates, upcoming renewals within 7 days, any modules that have detected a connection error with your Dirs21 account, and any new CockpitMod updates relevant to your active modules.

Managing your add-on subscriptions

Each add-on subscription is managed independently. From within a module's settings page you can pause the module temporarily without cancelling it — useful during hotel refurbishments or off-season periods when Dirs21 data volume drops to zero. A paused module continues to hold your configuration but stops processing Dirs21 events and is not billed for the paused period.

To cancel a module, click the Cancel Subscription button on that module's settings page and follow the confirmation steps. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month if less than 30 days remain, or at the next renewal date if more than 30 days remain. You can export all module-specific data before the cancellation takes effect.

Updating your Dirs21 API key

If you rotate your Dirs21 API key — which Dirs21 recommends periodically for security reasons — you must update the key in your CockpitMod account within 24 hours to avoid a disruption to your active modules. Navigate to Settings → API Configuration, paste the new key and click Validate & Save. The system tests the new key immediately and confirms that all connected modules are healthy.

CockpitMod stores your API key encrypted using AES-256 encryption at rest. The key is decrypted only at the moment it is needed to make an API call to Dirs21, and only within our isolated processing environment. It is never logged in plain text, never transmitted to third parties and never stored in browser-accessible cookies or local storage.

Usage reports and analytics

Usage reports are generated monthly for each active module and cover the preceding calendar month. Reports include: the total number of Dirs21 API events processed, a breakdown by event type (reservation created, reservation modified, checkout, cancellation etc.), key module-specific metrics (for example, the Upsell Engine report shows upsells offered, upsells accepted and total upgrade revenue generated), and a comparison to the previous month to show trends.

Reports can be downloaded in PDF or CSV format. The CSV format is compatible with Excel, Google Sheets and most BI tools. The PDF format includes CockpitMod branding and is suitable for internal management reporting. Both formats include your hotel name, property identifier, reporting period and the module name.

Billing and invoices

Invoices are generated on the first working day of each month and cover all active subscriptions for the preceding month. Each invoice is issued by CockpitMod d.o.o. and includes the company registration details required by EU law: company name, PIB (tax identification number), CRPS registration number, registered address, bank account details and the IBAN for bank transfer payment.

EU businesses with a valid VAT number may request VAT-reverse-charge treatment. Enter your VAT number in your account profile and it will appear on all future invoices. VAT-inclusive invoices are available for non-VAT-registered customers where required by the customer's local jurisdiction.

Multi-property accounts

If your Dirs21 account covers multiple hotel properties, each property can be configured independently within your CockpitMod account. Navigate to Settings → Properties to see all Dirs21-connected properties and assign active modules to specific properties. A module assigned to Property A does not process data from Property B unless explicitly configured to do so.

Team access

You can invite additional email addresses to access your CockpitMod account. Each invited team member receives their own passwordless access link and operates within a permission level you define: Viewer (reports and invoices only), Editor (configuration changes) or Administrator (full access including cancellations and payment settings). All access attempts are logged and visible in the audit log within your account.
