What is the CockpitMod account?

Your CockpitMod account is your central control panel for all active add-ons connected to your Dirs21 hotel management system. When you purchase any CockpitMod module — whether it's the Payment Gateway Plus, the Corporate Rate Manager or any of the other eight extensions — a dedicated account is automatically created for your email address and linked to your Dirs21 property configuration.

The account dashboard provides a unified view of every active add-on subscription, showing the current status, monthly renewal date, usage volume for the billing period and any alerts or action items that require your attention. You can access your CockpitMod account from any device using a web browser — there is no desktop software to install and no mobile app to download.

How account access works

CockpitMod uses a passwordless access system. Rather than storing a password on your behalf — which creates security risks if your email is ever compromised — we generate a time-limited, single-use access link each time you want to access your account. This link is sent immediately to the email address registered with your account and is valid for 30 minutes.

This approach means you never need to remember a password, never need to reset a forgotten credential and are protected against credential stuffing attacks. Every access attempt creates a new unique link. Once you click the link you are taken directly into your authenticated account session, which remains active for 8 hours on the device you used to open it.

What you can do inside your account

Once inside your CockpitMod account you have access to the following sections:

• Dashboard overview — a summary of all active add-ons, their status indicators and the next billing date for each module
• Add-on settings — individual configuration pages for each purchased module, where you can update Dirs21 API key mappings, adjust notification preferences and toggle specific features
• Usage & reports — monthly activity summaries for each module showing events processed, API calls made and key outcomes (e.g. upsells generated, payments routed, invoices sent)
• Billing history — a complete record of all invoices issued by CockpitMod d.o.o. for your active subscriptions, available for download in PDF format
• API configuration — a secure interface for entering and updating your Dirs21 API credentials. Your API key is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and never transmitted in plain text
• Support tickets — raise and track technical support requests directly from within your account, with full history of previous cases
• Account profile — update your registered email address, company name, VAT number and billing contact details

Connecting your Dirs21 account

After your first access to the CockpitMod account, the system will prompt you to enter your Dirs21 API key. This key is obtained from within your Dirs21 account settings under the API section. Once entered, CockpitMod validates the key by making a test request to the Dirs21 API and confirms that the connection is active. You can update your API key at any time from the API configuration section of your account.

CockpitMod operates exclusively as a read and write client of the official Dirs21 API — it does not access your Dirs21 database directly, does not scrape your Dirs21 interface and does not require any browser extensions to function. All data exchange occurs through the documented Dirs21 REST API endpoints.

Multiple properties on one account

If you manage multiple hotel properties under the same Dirs21 subscription, your CockpitMod account can be configured to cover all properties simultaneously. Each property is listed separately in your dashboard and can have its own add-on configuration. For example, you may wish to activate the Upsell Engine only on boutique properties while running the Corporate Rate Manager across all business hotels in your portfolio.

Security and GDPR

Your CockpitMod account is protected by the security infrastructure described in our security overview. We are registered with the Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka (AZLP) under registration number 05-030/26-2053 and process all personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request from support@cockpitmod.org or can be downloaded from the DPA page in your account settings.
